My stay at the Beijing Springs Valley Hotel was quite disappointing. the service was frustrating and the room far from what I expected. I encountered multiple issues, including poor communication and unhelpful staff. However, I appreciated the location, which was decent for visiting nearby attractions.

The room I ended up in was cramped and poorly ventilated. with a view straight into the hotel lobby. It didn’t match the booking images at all.
Service

The staff struggled with basic English. and didn't seem genuine in their assistance. When I had issues, I felt like I was a bother rather than a guest.

While the hotel was a bit far from the city center, it was conveniently located near some attractions like the Red Theatre and Temple of Heaven.

I had a mixed experience at the Beijing Springs Valley Hotel. The service was really good, especially from the Vice General Manager, Mr. Li Shijun, who really went the extra mile. However, some facilities and room features did not meet expectations, and the open bathroom design might not be to everyone's taste.

Rooms

My room was clean and comfortable, but I found the open bathroom layout a bit odd. It lacked a door, which was not ideal for privacy.

Service was fantastic, particularly from Mr. Li, who was very attentive. However, the rest of the staff seemed to struggle at times, especially with language barriers.
Location

While it was a bit far from central attractions like Tian'anmen Square, it was still accessible. I enjoyed the local food stores nearby.

The breakfast buffet offered a good variety, including fresh fruits and traditional Chinese dishes. However, options for Western breakfast were limited.

My stay at Beijing Springs Valley Hotel was a mixed bag. While the staff were friendly and the breakfast offerings were plentiful, I struggled with the room's unpleasant odor and odd layout. The location was decent, but I felt the hotel had some significant areas for improvement.

Rooms

I was really disappointed with the room setup. It had two open plan bathrooms which smelled terrible, making it hard to enjoy the stay. Plus, the lighting was poor, making it challenging to see properly in the mirror.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally helpful, but there were times when communication felt lacking, particularly when my breakfast booking was in question. It took a while to resolve, and I didn’t appreciate the eye rolls.
Location
5.0
The hotel is a bit far from the city center, about a 10-minute walk to the metro. It wasn't ideal for exploring or nightlife, but it was manageable.
Dining

I enjoyed breakfast, as there was plenty of variety for both Chinese and Western tastes. Dinner was also good, but I found the overall dining standards to be average.

While there were some nice furniture pieces, the dark room setup and overall maintenance could use more attention to make the stay more comfortable.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. The location was decent, but the hotel itself really felt old and needed a refresh. The staff were friendly and tried their best, but communication was a challenge due to the language barrier.

Rooms

I found the rooms to be decent overall, but they were rather small and lacked proper wardrobes or hanging spaces. The bathroom setup was strange with no doors, just curtains, and the lighting was poor, which made it a bit uncomfortable.
Service
6.0
The staff were genuinely nice and friendly, delivering fresh linen and even dropping off nighttime snacks in my room which was a sweet touch. but their limited English made it difficult to communicate.
Location
6.0
The location was fair, situated not too far from the main tourist attractions, though it involved a 10-15 minute walk to reach decent shops and the nearest metro station.
Dining
7.0
I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. it offered good variety, catering well to both Chinese and western tastes, which was a nice perk for my stay.
Facilities

The hotel had some charm in its decor, but overall seemed outdated. I appreciated the WiFi and that there were English channels on TV, but the common areas felt cold and uninviting.

My stay at the Beijing Springs Valley Hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The breakfast was quite good, with a decent variety, but the bathroom design was odd and made for an uncomfortable experience. The staff could use some improvement in communication, and the location wasn't ideal for dining or entertainment options. While the hotel had a grand appearance, it fell short in some of the expected amenities.

Rooms
5.0
The bathroom's design was open, making it uncomfortable to share with a travel companion as there was no privacy. Moreover, the lighting was inadequate for seeing in the mirror, which made getting ready a hassle.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly but struggled with English, making communication challenging. The tourism desk was okay, except for the manager, who was genuinely helpful. However, there was confusion regarding the deposit and payment.
Location
5.0
The hotel is not convenient as there are almost no nearby restaurants and it felt boring in the evenings. Although it's not too far from the city center and major attractions, I wished for more options closer to the hotel.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was abundant and relatively tasty, though the coffee left much to be desired. The selections were mostly Chinese, which may not appeal to everyone, especially Western guests looking for more variety.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel's facilities felt a bit lacking. For example, advertised amenities such as a safe in the room were missing, which I found quite disappointing. Even the internet connection was poor during peak times.
